1. Authorised B2B Payment Methods
Shoes Step accepts the following verified payment methods for all wholesale transactions. Payment must be received and cleared before order processing and factory coordination begins.
- International Bank Wire Transfer (SWIFT/IBAN): Our preferred method for high-volume wholesale orders. Banking details are provided on your proforma invoice upon order confirmation.
- Corporate Credit & Debit Cards: We accept Visa and Mastercard through our secure online payment gateway for qualifying order values.
- Secure Online Payment Networks: Additional localised payment options may be available depending on your country of operation. Contact us to confirm availability before placing your order.
All payment amounts are stated in the currency confirmed on your proforma invoice. Any bank transfer fees, international transaction charges, or currency conversion costs are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
2. Payment Process & Order Confirmation
The Shoes Step payment and order confirmation process follows these steps:
- Step 1 — Proforma Invoice: Upon agreeing on product selection, quantities, and pricing, Shoes Step issues a formal proforma invoice outlining the total amount due, payment deadline, and banking details.
- Step 2 — Payment: The buyer submits full payment or the agreed deposit amount via one of the authorised methods above.
- Step 3 — Payment Confirmation: Upon receipt and clearance of funds, Shoes Step sends a written payment confirmation and initiates factory coordination for your order.
- Step 4 — Production & Dispatch: Your order enters the sourcing and production coordination phase with our factory partners in China or Turkey. Lead times are stated on your invoice.
- Step 5 — Final Invoice: A final commercial invoice is issued upon dispatch, together with all relevant shipping and customs documentation.
Orders are not reserved, processed, or dispatched until payment has been received and confirmed in full.
3. Deposits & Advance Payments
For large-volume or custom production orders, Shoes Step may require a deposit of up to 50% of the total order value prior to initiating factory coordination, with the remaining balance due prior to dispatch. Deposit requirements and payment schedules are confirmed in writing on the proforma invoice.
Deposits are non-refundable once an order has entered active production coordination with our factory partners, as sourcing and manufacturing commitments have been made on the buyer’s behalf.
4. Encryption & Data Security Standards
All financial data transmitted through the Shoes Step platform is protected using industry-standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) and TLS (Transport Layer Security) encryption protocols. This ensures that all payment information and personal data are transmitted securely between your browser and our servers.
Shoes Step does not store, archive, or retain full credit card numbers, CVV codes, or sensitive banking credentials on our servers. Card transactions are processed exclusively through PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways, meaning your payment data is handled directly by certified financial processors and never passes through our internal systems.
5. Anti-Fraud & Verification Procedures
To maintain the integrity of our wholesale network and comply with international commercial banking regulations, all transactions are subject to standard verification procedures. For high-value orders or newly registered accounts, Shoes Step reserves the right to request the following before confirming an order:
- Proof of business registration or trade licence
- A copy of a valid government-issued identification document for the authorised signatory
- A bank authorisation letter for wire transfers above a specified threshold
These checks are carried out to protect both parties from fraudulent activity and unauthorised transactions. Shoes Step reserves the right to place an order on hold or cancel it entirely if verification requirements are not met within a reasonable timeframe.
6. Currency & Price Adjustments
All wholesale prices are quoted in the currency stated on the proforma invoice, typically USD or as otherwise agreed in writing. Prices are fixed at the time of invoice issuance and are valid for the period stated on the document.
Shoes Step reserves the right to adjust pricing prior to invoice issuance to reflect significant movements in factory costs, raw material prices, or currency exchange rates. Once a proforma invoice has been issued and accepted by the buyer, the stated price is binding for that order.
7. Invoicing & Record Keeping
Shoes Step issues formal commercial invoices for all completed wholesale transactions. These documents include full product descriptions, quantities, unit prices, total values, and applicable customs codes required for import clearance in your destination country.
Buyers are advised to retain all invoices and payment records for a minimum of 7 years in accordance with standard commercial and tax compliance requirements.
